The Oude Kerk is the oldest surviving building in Amsterdam.
Since 1306, the church has been in the heart of the red light district.
Many Amsterdam mayors such as Frans Banning Cocq
(known as captain on the Night Watch) are buried here.
Also Saskia van Uylenburgh, wife of the painter Rembrandt van Rijn.
