The old Shell site is divided into 3 areas, the Strip, Campus and the Scheg. 

Behind the old Shell building Overhoeks, the strip is rising 

with high-rise towers up to 110 meters high. 

West of the Strip, the Campus is a residential quarter with apartment buildings. 

Between the Strip and the Campus is a green space called the Scheg. 

The Scheg widens to the IJ, the Oeverpark.

There is an elm arboretum on the bank, with about thirty different elm species. 

In addition to the newly built Eye Film Museum, many of the old Shell 

buildings have been given a cultural destination.
