 Amsterdam 2022

My journey started during the penultimate ice age: the Saalien.
I emigrated together with the Scandinavian land ice and 200,000 years later
I got a place in the city, on a black granite pedestal with gold inscription: standing stone 1989 - .
With a truck I was moved to Haarlem and I ended up at the entrance of the Frans Hals museum.
The artist family who traveled with me on foot stayed overnight in the museum.
The next day we went to Zandvoort and I was placed on the beach.
During the spring tide, the artist Pink (Helena Scheerder 1943) stood on top of me,
together with man and child, while the seawater splashed wildly.
After the performance, the family disappeared.
A red-haired boy tried to get me out of the sea and almost drowned.
The next day I was brought back to my pedestal and since then I have seen the city pass by again.
