A five meters high giant stands in front of the new court in Amsterdam. 

The giant is bent over in his hand are a number of attributes. 

An owl (wisdom), an arrow (perseverance) and an acorn (protector against evil). 

The statue is a gatekeeper who, despite his imposing figure, offers a gentleness of relaxation and comfort. 

The statue is in bronze, the training pants in stainless steel 

and the shoes in marble composite. 

The sculpture was made by American artist Nicole Eisenman (1965).

Although she is mainly known for her paintings, she also makes installations and sculptures.
