Amsterdam 2021
The former engineer's residence of the Westergasfabriek was the director's residence.
In addition to the engineer's residence, the Amsterdam architect Isaac Gosschalk (1838-1907)
designed several buildings on the site.
The buildings are built in the style of the 16th century Dutch Renaissance.
Characteristic of this style are the horizontal layers of natural stone between the masonry and the use of stepped gables.
The gas factory site has been a cultural park since 2003.
The engineer's house inaugurated by the World Press Photo Foundation.
